Connecting to Alternative TM1 Server

If you’re like most of our clients you’ll have both a production and non-production environment for Planning Analytics or TM1. It is not real obvious though how you switch servers from, say Production to Development, or Development to Test etc.

Well here’s how you can easily change your TM1 login to point to a development, test or production server.

1. Open TM1 Architect or Perspectives
2. If in Perspectives (the Excel add in), click Explore
3. Select File, Options
4. Select the alternative server from the drop down underneath Admin Host.
5. If it is not there, type the name of the server.
6. Then go through your normal login to TM1
